(November 30, 2018) – Tracy City Center Association (TCCA/Downtown Tracy) would like to recognize and thank Dallin Silcox (Eagle Scout candidate from Troop 503), along with his family, friends, and church members for their generosity, hard work, and community spirit…donating their time (100+hours) and efforts towards creating a new home for Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Our City’s beloved Santa Hut of close to 60 years was in need of replacement for a number of reasons, safety being the highest priority. Over last summer Dallin took the lead, and as part of his Eagle Scout Project, created a new Workshop for Santa and his Elves. Their new home is at the 6th Street Plaza in Downtown Tracy. A sneak peek was shown on Fox40 during this morning’s “In Your Neighborhood” segment, and a full debut will take place right after tomorrow’s (Saturday, December 1st) Holiday Light Parade & Tree Lighting Ceremony…rain or shine!
Dallin, thank you from all of us at Downtown Tracy and the community at large. It is citizens like you that make Tracy the special community that it is.
