Downtown Tracy update/statement on coronavirus/COVID-19:
At times we are tasked with making difficult decisions. Based on the most current information regarding the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic disease, best practices for minimizing its spread among our regional population, and out of an abundance of caution, it is with deep regret and sadness that we will be postponing (until further notice) this year’s Taps on Tenth Craft Beer Tasting originally scheduled for April 4, 2020. More information regarding other events may also be forthcoming.
We pride ourselves on always putting safety first, and the health of our event participants will always be our highest priority. We did not arrive at this decision easily, and made the choice based on the fact that there are now local cases of coronavirus/COVID-19 confirmed by San Joaquin County Public Health Services.
Nearby counties, events, arenas, and sports leagues are all doing their part to minimize potential exposure by eliminating gatherings with attendance over 1,000 people. Following their lead, we are taking a proactive approach to do our part to keep everyone safe. The California Department of Public Health recently raised the bar with its own guidance for gatherings of 250 people or more and smaller gatherings that do not allow for more that 6 feet of social distancing per person. Their recommendation is to cancel or postpone these gatherings across the state through at least the end of March. This applies to all non-essential professional, social, and community gatherings regardless of their sponsor.
We appreciate everyone’s support. Refunds for pre-sale tickets and event sponsors will take place within the next 7-10 days. Any questions or concerns regarding refunds or future event schedules can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
